In the Chobe region, people living with chronic kidney disease face an almost impossible burden just to stay alive.
The nearest dialysis machines are located in Francistown, Maun, or Gaborone – journeys that are far too long to undertake three or four times every week.
For many families, these immense distances become a barrier to survival.
Patients are separated from their support systems, endure exhausting travel, and face overwhelming financial and physical strain.
We believe this inequality is unacceptable.
Our vision is simple yet profound – to bring dialysis treatment into the heart of Chobe so that patients can receive the life-saving care they need closer to home, surrounded by family, dignity, and hope.
Life-saving care for all
Care without distance
Family, dignity & support
Today and tomorrow
This district has a proud and resilient community, rich in heritage and surrounded by the most extraordinary natural beauty. Our project is guided by local leadership from the pillars of community leadership, clinical expertise and spiritual faith.
Working alongside a UK-led team of renal specialists and medical investors, we aim to build a lasting partnership with Botswanan leaders and healthcare professionals. Together, we are committed to delivering a fully resourced dialysis clinic in Kazungula by the summer of 2027.
This facility will not only extend lives today but will become a beacon of care for future generations across the region. Built on dedication, collaboration and hope – and supported by an exceptional team of local trustees – we are confident that our vision will become a reality.
